Professionals
Sue supported me in making a significant career transition. I had a lot of experience in running large and complex organisations, but did not want everything else that went with that kind of job for some time. Sue helped me reposition myself, realise what was transferable and how it might be pitched to others. This was packaged it all within a new ‘modus operandi’ for living. Principally it was coaching, but that also included being held to account when there was a risk of going back to the familiar, or in doing something out of step with the values and ideals established with her guidance.
I’m now six months into a portfolio life, working across a range of clients and also now aiming to go beyond my previous areas of expertise. I am now much more in control over how I spend my time, and have a balance which has rarely been achieved for far too many years.

Sue was a fantastic coach. I was six minutes late to our first session. Her first questions to me were “What stopped you getting here on time today?” and “What does that cost you in your life?”. I was scared to take any action but I knew something wasn’t right. I was demotivated, I lacked ambition but I felt so scared to make a change. I was really worried about what people would think. I felt lost and couldn’t picture my future.
After working with Sue, I am living more in the now. Some things which I have addressed are things I didn’t even know would be goals and things to overcome. I found clarity in addressing where my beliefs come from and I no longer seek validation from other people, which before was for everything. I have been learning about myself – where my limiting beliefs come from and breaking it down.

Before working with Sue, I was siloed into my immediate network of schools which left no room for growth. I lacked confidence in my offers and was hesitant to put myself out there.

Sue is an incredibly warm, kind and supportive coach and mentor who uses the widest range of coaching tools to increase your self-awareness and enable you to grow your own coaching skills at the same time. She’s straight forward, no nonsense and at the same time sensitive and perceptive. She’s able to see your gifts, have you do the same, and encourage you to make progress in your life.
Before I started working with Sue I had a lot of uncertainty around where to direct my efforts for growing my business. I wanted to win more clients, set up my business in a scaleable way, get the systems in place, get the marketing plan rolling and to be intentional about how I could most effectively use my time whilst protecting my boundaries for work life balance. I had also spent many years of my working life helping brands successfully sell more of their products, but when it came to selling myself, I was drawing a bit of a blank.
Sue is a great coach and mentor. Having the capacity to offer business mentoring was extremely beneficial to me – some things I just needed to know, from someone who’s been there and done it, successfully, already. I also really valued having Sue be so accessible on Voxer (a voice messaging app), and so responsive every time I got in touch. She was so generous with her resources e.g. the templates she shared up front which have provided a lot of insight and inspiration for short-cutting the development of my own materials.

I started working with Sue because I wanted to get help in establishing my coaching practice, get an agreement with one or two companies as clients and develop my own product/coaching packages.
Through working with her I soon realized that I didn’t have that much time to get this in place, and having since resigned from work, I now have an established a process for working with my existing network to get new clients.
I have also established a way of working with relationships/network/sales which works for me, after having previously feared the whole sales process. I now also feel confident that my product is good enough, and that I have what is needed to deliver value to my clients. I have also established a coaching product and onboarding process that I now use with my clients and I collect feedback and testimonials, which also gives me insight that I can use to develop myself as a coach. Sue also gave me a lot of materials and templates that I have used for these processes, and as inspiration to create my own packages.

I was lucky enough to be the first to experience Sue’s Successful Coach Intensive and I only wish she’d had this on offer when I started my coaching business. In my opinion, it’s an absolute essential for coaches who have had training but need to understand how to make a successful business out of it.

Sue demonstrates an incredible rigour in using the Co-Active model without failure. Her sharpness, creativity and raw power is poignant. It’s nearly ten years since Sue was my coach while I navigated CTI’s certification programme.
